Robotics Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack Web)


The ideal candidate will have prior experience developing software in a full stack JavaScript environment, using a variety of modern web technologies and frameworks. You will be comfortable tackling everything from collaboration with product teams to defining the UI/UX and product features, as well as implementing the entire solution, including graphical assets, front end HTML/CSS/JS, backend REST API’s and database schemas.

• Owning (including designing and implementing) the web UI and backend services that control our robotic systems
• Collaborating with Engineering, Business Development, Product, and Project Management teams to define product features and overall customer experience
• Performing system testing and debug activities
• Other duties that will help you grow as a professional

Experience/Education Requirements
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, in a full stack developer role
• 3+ years of experience in a full stack JavaScript environment with node.js on the backend and React.js (or similar framework) on the front end
• Solid understanding of HTTP fundamentals and how to design and implement RESTful API’s
• Experience with basic UI design and styling, using HTML/CSS and frameworks like Bootstrap, Prime Faces, etc.
• Experience with various database solutions, including both relational and document store models
• Experience with data processing and visualization solutions, e.g. ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or similar
• Proficient developing software in a Linux environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Proficiency in the creation and maintenance of documentation
• Demonstrated track record of exceptional individual performance in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently but also thrives in highly integrated and diverse team environments

Preferred qualifications
• Experience configuring and deploying to both cloud and on-premise servers
• Experience with software engineering “best practices” such as issue tracking, static code checking, and automated testing
